Waterford : Project: Thanks!

leader: Taysha Lefler
date: April 29, 2017
time: 8:30am - 12:00pm

We will have tables set up at the Waterford Museum for everyone to come and write, color or make Thank You cards for our public servants and teachers. People of ALL ages can make cards for the police, fire fighters, and ambulance personnel who serve our town. We also want to encourage kids to write Thank-You's for their teachers and staff. We'll even have a flower pen craft so kids can give their teachers a gift. This project is for everyone! You can come by the museum after you have finished with any other project you signed up for. Kids can take their teacher cards and pens to school on Monday if they wish. The rest of the cards will be delivered to our public servants along with some goodies.

** We are asking for donations for this project. We're looking for: paper (plain, decorative, construction, lined, etc.), markers, crayons, colored pencils, regular pencils, stickers, and any other craft items to decorate the cards with, as well as pre-printed Thank You cards for those who don't want to make a card. We also need artificial flowers, ball point pens and floral tape. **

8:30AM GATHERING: Please remember to attend the rally located at the Community Center parking lot (540 C Street) before volunteering at your specific project site. There will be coffee and donuts for everyone! You will receive instructions from project leaders prior to beginning your volunteer service. Lunch will be provided at 12:00 pm by the Waterford Lions Club at Beard Park (540 C Street).
