Modesto : JerLisa Stitches of Love Teddy Bears (Gold)
|date:||April 8, 2017|
|time:||8am - 12:30pm|
Traumatized children are usually frightened and insecure when their normal lives are falling apart. They are in dire need of comfort and to feel safe. First responders, when they have the resources, can provide these children with a Teddy Bear that they can keep for their very own.
Teddy Bears, stuffed and finished off with a ribbon for First Responders to give to children who are accident & fire victims, who need to be removed to a protective environment, or otherwise traumatized.
Volunteers are needed give of their time for a few hours. Men, women, teens, and children find this a rewarding event to give back to the community and prepare the bears for our local police officers, firefighters, local hospitals, and child protective services workers, to use to comfort children in situations that can be frightening and confusing to them.
