Modesto : Art Restores Kids (Silver)
|date:||April 8, 2017|
|time:||8am - 12:30pm|
Would you like to make a difference in the lives of children affected/exposed to domestic violence? Caring volunteers can help by getting involved in our Art Restores Kids Program. We are in need of art supplies, preparation for Art Workshops (cutting out materials, sorting materials, preparing workshops supplies, etc.) for future classes for children participating in our Art Program. After an introduction to our program volunteers will use their time and talents to help workshop leaders prep for future classes. We are hoping that some volunteers will use the time to familiarize themselves with SFJC and our programs to see if they are a possible fit for future on-going mentoring and art/childcare related volunteering. SFJC is also seeking camp counselors to join us over the summer for Camp Hope an opportunity for a child affected by domestic violence to have a weekend or week at a trauma informed camp. This opportunity will also be presented.
Love Modesto April 8 begins at 8am on I & 10th Streets, right in front of the Gallo Center. Festivities (free food, t-shirt, fun, etc.) begin at 8am and the Rally will begin around 8:45am. You will meet here BEFORE GOING TO YOUR PROJECT LOCATION.
When you arrive, you'll want to find your project sign and meet your project leader. After the Rally, you will meet at your project sign and hear important instructions from your project leader BEFORE GOING TO YOUR PROJECT LOCATION.
Thank you for your willingness to "Love Modesto"! If you have any questions, please email email@example.com
