Merced : Park: Fahrens/Black Rascal

leader: Lanie Gladwin
date: April 18, 2015
time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Fahrens Park is a community park, located on the corner of R Street and Buena Vista Drive. It stretches approximately 47-acres. The Black Rascal Bike Path winds its way through this west end park.: Volunteers needed to clean & paint the restrooms. Another group can walk the park area making sure to pick up litter & debris. It is important that the cleaning is well done so the paint will set well and look wonderful for the visitors.  Volunteers will need to be sure to wear appropriate clothes and shoes.  Bring any items that make you more comfortable in this work environment (gloves, trash grabbers, cleaning supplies, etc.)  Paint, brushes, drop cloths, and trash bags will be provided to all volunteers.  8AM GATHERING: Please remember to attend the rally located at the Merced Fairgrounds, 900 Martin Luter King Jr. Way (Childs Street Entrance) in Merced, before volunteering at  your specific project site. You will receive instructions from your  project leader prior to beginning your volunteer service. Thank you for  your willingness to give back to your community!
