Hughson : Helping Hands - Yard Work for Seniors and the Disabled

leader: Angela Fisher
date: April 8, 2017
time: 8:00am - 12:00pm

Help spread some springtime cheer to our seniors and others in need of a little yard work!  Volunteers will be providing basic yard maintenance in our community.  If you have any yard tools please bring them with you: truck with bed, rakes, hoes, shovels, pruning shears, weed eaters, wheel barrow, etc.  Please mark any tools you bring with your name.

Please remember to attend the kick-off event (registration, breakfast, project assignment, etc.) at 7:00AM, located at the Hughson Senior Community Center.

The Knights of Columbus (St. Anthony's Catholic Church) will be serving a "hearty" breakfast to all our volunteers, so that you are fueled up before starting your work projects.  After breakfast, we will have some announcements, take a group photo just outside of the Senior Community Center and you will be assigned to your project leader.  Work projects will begin around 8:00AM.  If you have tools or other resources that you think may be helpful for this project, please contact your group leader to let them know what you are able to provide.  Please label all tools so that they can be returned back to you and the end of the event.

Pizza lunch will be provided at NOON back at the Hughson Senior Community Center.

The Hughson Oilers Football and Cheer will be providing a pizza lunch for all volunteers back at the Hughson Senior Community Center at the conclusion of Love Hughson.  They have also generously agreed to provide all the water for the day to be taken around by the H2O Squad!
